WHO WE ARE 

The Chris Atwood Foundation is a peer-driven community organization in Northern Virginia providing free harm reduction and recovery support services and advocacy for people impacted by substance use.

WE BELIEVE

 Addiction is a health condition that requires proper care & treatment.

Recovery is possible and there are many pathways to recovery.

People who use substances have a right to healthcare and dignity.

Harm Reduction and Recovery work better together.

Support Our Work

Some of the community care services we provide:

overdose prevention training and naloxone kits

recovery housing support

harm reduction counseling

peer support specialists and peer warmline

treatment referrals & resource navigation

HIV/Hepatitis C testing (coming soon)

employment & transportation assistance

family support and warmline

and more

A $50 donation provides four doses of lifesaving naloxone, essentially saving four lives.

A $100 donation provides two individuals entering recovery housing with Warm Welcome Kits. These kits include new bedding, dishes, and personal care items. 

A $500 donation helps an individual move into safe recovery housing.

All donations are welcome both big and small. Every one time or recurring donation helps save lives and support recovery.
